We’ve arrived! The floating base of IBAMA, Brazil’s Park Service’s guards the entrance to Jaú National Park.

Seqüência do documentário na base do Ibama
Tudo deve ser filmado! Estamos filmando os biólogos entrando na base do IBAMA para saber sobre o melhor lugar para encontrar os macacos uacari.
Everything gets filmed! Here we shoot the biologists entering the IBAMA base to talk to park guards about the best places to see uacari monkeys.

Comunidade do Seringalzinho
No Jaú, a natureza ultrapassa a humanidade. Chegada no Seringalzinho, umas das maiores comunidades ribeirinhas no rio Jaú.

This is the scene, arriving at Seringalzinho, and this is one of the larger caboclo communities on the Jaú river.

’I’m a daughter of this land here and this is where I belong. I grew up in a place called Piracucu, upriver from here’’ says septuagenarian great-great grandmother Dona Eurides (pictured inside her hut).
